Information on buying or seeing my works (dutch)

.As a child a was drawing almost everyday. I grew up with what you could call some "distance from society" as my parent and I where living somewhere in the country, far away from all the people. Especially my father had some strong artistic possibilities and he really liked the lonelyness for thinking about art, nature and some questions of life. Of course I have found my own way of living, but i do really have been influenced by my father, either.

Nowadays I have made the decision to let art be my first task in life. To me there is no need to deal with a way of living and working that I don't want to. This while art is meant for making life better, in my opinion. I only do what I think is worthfull to me or to someone else. As you might already guess, most inspiration I get during being in absolutely lonelyness, in nature, and with no trouble on my mind.

Most of my paintings at the moment are abstract, but you can also find some figurative works from my hand. To me sometimes it's difficult to say if a new painting is good or not. But I think the openminded person who looks at it, might feel what is meant by the painting, that's a principle of art. It's even a principle of life.

My most used technique is acrylic-paint, and this on a flat and prepared surface. To me this is an easy way to get the picture i want it to be. This medium dries very quickly, so you are able to continue working. I also use some oilpastels, normal pastels, pencils and gouache. Everything is worthfull, if you know how to use it, or want to.

Some other interests of mine are: biking and walking (preferrable somewhere far away from everyday noise) being between animals like for example dogs or horses, having an interesting discussion with friends, reading some good books, working on a computer, meditating and so forths...
