Remarks: A Thousand Years is a nice acoustic version with a guitar part by Yechiel Hasson, percussion by Miles Bould and with a string part arranged by Dave Hartley. This version is different compared to the original which appeared on the album Brand New Day in 1999.

A host of top class artists contribute to the album including Sting, Dominic Miller, Chris Botti, Joy Rose, Judie Tzuke, Richard Marx, Mike Lindup Neil Stacey, Jason Rebello, Jenny-Lynn Smith, Tommy Blaize and Curtis Stigers. The album was being released as an exclusive to Bang & Olufsen in their shops worldwide.

"My previous three B&O albums were collections of tracks that already existed but the fourth is different - these songs were written exclusively for this album. These days, I don't really see myself as an artist but I like the idea of being a collaborative writer and producer, so this was just a fantastic opportunity to do my own record: I was 50 per cent of everything that happened. Travelling the world and recording music in various studios and homes, with a variety of artists and with me as its unifying force. Working on different kinds of music with a broad palette of styles is what excites me. Hopefully that diversity of approach is reflected in this record." - Kipper
