Almost eight weeks after Sting, Stewart, Andy and Mike Howlett performed together under the name Strontium 90 at the Gong reunion in Paris they reformed again. This time the four-piece performed under a different name, The Elevators, at The Nashville Room.
Mike Howlett was very confided about this new group. In a Melody Maker interview he said: "this band is permanent", but after this show the tentative group politely splits, leaving Howlett to find other collaborators.
