Sting - Concert information

[Updated: October 15, 2004]

09-09-1981 / London / The Theatre Royal ("The Secret Policeman's Other Ball") / UK
On September 9, 10, 11 and 12, 1981 Sting performed during a fundraising for Amnesty International. He accompanied himself, strumming simply on electric guitar, on solo versions of Roxanne and Message In A Bottle. He also sang the lead vocals on (Bob Dylan's) I Shall Be Released, together with a full band (including Phil Collins and Eric Clapton).
Martin Lewis, producer of "The Secret Policeman's Other Ball" described the event in the booklet of the 10th anniversary CD release The Secret Policeman's Concert.
