• Festival line-up: Chris Rea, Rainbirds, Crowded House, Cheap Trick, The Cross, Christians, Eurythmics, Sting.
• Attendance: 1,500.
Sting ended the second day of the 3-days "The Montreux Golden Rose Festival". During this festival about sixty bands performed 20 to 30 minutes playback gigs each. The whole event was filmed and broadcasted on TV.
