The theme was Cole Porter (1891-1964), Noël Coward, and George Gershwin. Sting performed Something's Coming (from the musical "Westside Story") on double bass. He also sang a Noël Coward song, Gershwin's Someone To Watch Over Me, a French song (Je Ne Sais Pas), a ballad with Natalie Cole, and Mad Dogs And Englishmen with Elton John, and rattled some maracas on a funny tune with Whoopi Goldberg (Miss Nina From Argentina). A host of other stars were at the concert and benefit dinner. |
