Sting performed at the 3rd annual Rainforest Benefit in New York City together with Elton John, Don Henley, James Taylor, Natalie Cole and Whoopi Goldberg. The theme was Cole Porter (1891-1964), Noël Coward, and George Gershwin.
Sting performed Something's Coming (from the musical "Westside Story") on double bass. He also sang a Noël Coward song, Gershwin's Someone To Watch Over Me, a French song (Je Ne Sais Pas), a ballad with Natalie Cole, and Mad Dogs And Englishmen with Elton John, and rattled some maracas on a funny tune with Whoopi Goldberg (Miss Nina From Argentina). A host of other stars were at the concert and benefit dinner.
