Hi I am Peter Oorthuis, 33 years old I live at Egmond-Binnen.

The village where I live is called Egmond-Binnen, which lies in North-Holland. This village is in North-Holland and lies around 4km from the sea, in beautiful a quiet surroundings. Surrounded by grasslands and the dunes.

The historical background from the village is rich, which dates back to 922. An abbey which is located just outside the village is still been occupied by monks. This building was a lot bigger during the Middle Ages, but was destroyed during the Eight Year War:(1568-1648) by the Spanish. The street where I live hundred meters from the abbey.

The hobby's I am involved in are writing poetry for an internetforun and the writing of stories. Drawing is also a big hobby from me, which I do with an Amiga 1200. The writing of the stories and the poetry I do most of the time on a PC, nice a peaceful with music on. The poetry is mostly in Dutch, with occasionally an English one.

I have a handicap, which limits the contact I have with people out side my own circle. The handicap has something to do with the thyroidgland, there is a shortage of something in my body. This isn`t been made enough, so I take medicines to keep it under control.

Thank goodness it goes alot better with me the last year, I am coming outside again. And when the Dutch weather is good (even if it is not good) I take a walk. For longer distances I need a wheelchair, for say when we are going to walk or shopping.

The art work on this site was all made on the Amiga 1200 using DeluxePaint V.

An another hobby from me is reading, even though there is little time for that sometimes.

That is because I chat mostly in the evenings, which gives me a lot of pleasure. You get by this more contact with people, even though I will keep it with one at the same time other ways I go crazy.

My favourite writers are specially the people which write adventure/action like: Stephen Coonts, Frederick Forsyth, Alistair MacLean, Tom Clancy.

Sci-fi is also a small hobby from me Star Trek Voyager is one of my favourite series, but the other series are also very well made.

My favorite movies are:

1:Independence Day..(watch that one 5 times.!)

2:The Rock (watch that one 4 times.)

3: The Flight of the Intruder.

4: Blackhawkdown.

I listen a lot to music. The music from the 80`s is very good.. But also the modern music is very good Trance and Dance I listen sometimes with speakers on full!! Well, that was a little bit more info about me.
