Faith No More is a band with an impressive history of changing band
members. During its first years (when the bands original name
changed from Faith no man into the name we now all know) the band
went through a number of guitarists and singers, including the
infamous Courtney Love. Not until Chuck Mosely and Jim Martin joined
Faith No More's hardcore, consisting of Mike Bordin - Drums
, Billy Gould - Bass, and Roddy Bottom - keyboards
the band released its first album We care a lot in
1985. One album later, Introduce yourself - 1987 Cuck
Mosely proved not to be in the right place after all and was
replaced by Mike Patton, who sang with Mr. Bungle, in 1989.
The next album The real thing followed and became a hugh
succes and went platinum in the U.S.

The combination of aggressive
hardcore, metal, ballads and Mike Patton's powerful amazing vocal
abilities drove hugh audiences to concerthalls and festivals sites.
By the time the next album was fininshed (Angel Dust)
Jim Martin became unhappy with the ways thing were. After a very
difficult period, he was fired. Even though Angel Dust did
not bring Faith No More such gigantic hits as "Epic" or "Easy" it
does include such audience favorites as "Be Aggressive".
After Martin's departure Faith No More worked with Mr. Bungle
guitarist Trey Spruance on King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime
, released in 1995. However, Spruance did not became a
full-time member and was replaced by Dean Menta for the tour. This
tour did not became a big succes and was prematurelely cancelled.
During the next years all the Faith no More members were very busy
with personal projects and people feared a final break-up. But with
hiring Jon Hudson as a new guitar player the band has found
inspiration to come with a new album this June, entitled Album
of the Year. A new album full of beautiful melodic songs,
reminding of the tracks on The Real Thing and Angel
Dust with wonderful singles such as "Ashes to Ashes".
